Restoration
Restoration
An invitation to approach ourselves and others with a sense of deep restoration and kindness.
As the weeks appraoch the winter solstice, the days are shorter, leaving less sunlight to enliven our body and our mind.
Our nature, often reflects and is in tandem with nature around us. With less sunlight we may find our body naturally leaning toward wanting to rest, or go to sleep much earlier than usual. Taking cues from nature, this is body’s language asking for more of what it needs.
Two practices I’ve been engaged with as we approach the solstice:
Taking my morning matcha outside, just after sunrise. For 10 minutes, allowing the sun on my face, not looking directly at the sun, but feeling its radiance on my face.
Research shows that morning light optimizes mental and physical health. *Andrew Huberman.Connection: Calling or an audio text message, creates a connection that usually leads to an uplifting exchange.
Brain and heart connection creates energy within the body. Connection is a fundamental component of our overall health.
There are infinite ways home to consciousness. Infinite ways to awaken, said another way, wake from a blurry day-to-day existence to one that anchors us in unshakable faith, reminds us that inner work done with compassion is on own our terms, living intentionally for what is most meaningful - with ease, comfort and support.
From my path to yours,
